Starting The New Year Off Right

January 04, 2025
Reflecting on my childhood upbringing in my home state of Louisiana, one New Year tradition that my parents practiced faithfully, was attending Church
on the first Sunday of the New Year. Although going to Church was a consistent practice in our home, Mom and Dad placed special emphasis on attendance on the first Sunday in January. My parents believed that attending service that first Sunday was a way of "starting the New Year off right."
While some might think that this is "old school" and an outdated tradition, I still believe that family worship on the first Sunday of the year can set the stage for an incredible and phenomenal New Year. I also believe, that 2025 will "ring" into existence fresh, miraculous, and supernatural blessings that you and your family have never experienced before. It might seem outdated, however, some "old school" still works!
Being in service is invigorating, inspiring, and refreshing. That's why the First Lady and I want to encourage you and your family to start 2025 off right by joining us in Church Service tomorrow. If for any reason, you are physically unable to attend in person, we welcome your virtual attendance. We will also celebrate for the first time in the year the ordinance of Holy Communion.
Happy New Year Family!
