Willing Heart Community Care Center
555 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, Newark, NJ
What is the Willing Heart Community Care Center?
Located in the heart of Newark New Jersey’s Central Ward, the Willing Heart Community Care Center
is an outreach geared to promote health and wellness through cultural
and artistic expression, recreation, resurrection, and social
services. At the Willing Heart Community Care Center persons celebrate life to its fullest. Living well is our focal point.
When persons are engaging in the willing heart mission: to show
compassion, to provide alternative recreation for youth, to foster a
creative art venue for all ages, and to provide the community with a
beacon of light, they learn to connect and celebrate the Bread of Life.
We are committed to providing life sustaining necessities such as
food, and clothing for all ages. In addition, an initiative to
provide for our senior citizens through monthly care packages fulfills
our mission as a care center. It is through these endeavors the Willing Heart Community Care Center illuminates a renewed sense of hope for men, women, boys and girls to live through Christ-Centered principles.
The Willing Heart Community
Care Center is about the community. Our programs are built on the belief
that persons want to live, learn and laugh with each other. Therefore,
when persons enter into the Willing Heart Community Care Center
they are greeted with the reality that they have a chance to move from
hopelessness to hopefulness, to move from hostility to hospitality, to
move from lack to gain, and to move from impossibilities to
possibilities.
The Willing Heart Community Care Center
takes ownership to position resources for all individuals while
offering alternatives engaging activities that are stimulating and life
giving. The center acknowledges the social ills that surround its
doors. Therefore the Willing Heart Community Care Center
is committed to nurturing individuals through a vibrant comprehensive
community curriculum to serve the community as a means to stopping the
deterioration experienced by so many.
At the Willing Heart Community Care Center,
we believe that all persons are created in the image of God and
deserve the opportunity to embrace those things that bring forth a new
birth intellectually, mentally, physically and spiritually. In
essence, we are committed to being Light and Salt for the Central Ward
and surrounding community.
As Jesus saw the multitude He was moved with compassion…
