With a series of recent data showcasing unprecedented learning loss within the Newark public school system, Newark’s Metropolitan Baptist Church, Great Oaks Legacy Charter School, and the New Jersey Children’s Foundation (NJCF) is launching the “Newark Unites Tutoring Center” in September which will provide free tutoring and support to Newark’s 9th and 10th graders.
The school year has started and we're very excited about the launch of the "Newark United Tutoring Center" at our Church. Families are signing their students up for tutoring and our first orientation is scheduled for 5 pm this afternoon at Metro. Due to the resounding response, a second orientation is scheduled for September 23, 2021, at 5 pm at Metro as well. With 9 out of 10 students in Newark not performing at grade level in Newark, families can not afford to pass up this FREE "high dosage tutoring."
I strongly encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity and enroll your child. They deserve it and I can assure you their performance will improve.
