Employment Ministry

Message from Our Pastor

“And now, dear brothers and sister, we give you this command in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: … For you know that you out to imitate us. We were not idle when we were with you. We never accepted food from anyone without paying for it. We worked hard day and night so we would not be a burden to any of you. We certainly had the right to ask you to feed us, but we wanted to give you an example to follow. Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.”
2 Thessalonians 3: 6-10

Beloved: Did you know that working is scripturally based? In fact, our need to work comes from the beginning of time, God created the heaven and earth; He worked (Genesis 1:31-2:3). We are beings created by God, in His likeness, we are designed to work. It completes us.

In the scripture above, Paul models work for us. He explained the value of a hard day’s work. He knew that idleness was not good and had no place in the kingdom of God.

It is the same today, God’s people want to work, however, some need a little encouragement and help to do so. The Employment ministry is designed to help the people of God overcome difficulties in finding employment. The enemy thinks that he is winning; however, this praying group of committed individuals is calling him a liar. Since the ministry began to come together, glimmers of God’s favor have begun to show through the darkness; people are beginning to get jobs. We know the bondage of unemployment is being broken. People are being led to jobs and we thank God for His grace and faithfulness as we dedicate this ministry in His favor. Amen!
